Ryan Van Wert, MD
Ryan is a board certified pulmonologist and critical care physician with a passion for medical technology innovation. He has previously co-founded a medical device company in the intensive care space, and was a post-doctoral fellow in the prestigious Stanford Program in Biodesign. He is an inventor on multiple patent applications and has authored several peer-reviewed publications focused on technology assessment.
Rush Bartlett, PhD MBA
Rush is an experienced medical device entrepreneur with over 20 patent applications and several peer
reviewed scientific publications. He has a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, a MBA with a
specialization in entrepreneurship, and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering.
Frank Wang, PhD
Frank is seasoned web technology entrepreneur whose goal is to improve healthcare delivery through technology solutions. He previously co-founded Fotoflexor.com, a web-based photo imaging editor with 12M peak monthly users and has worked as a hardware engineer at Apple. Frank holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering where he developed a CE-marked device for pressure ulcer detection.
Allen Namath, MD
Allen is a board certified pulmonologist and critical care physician at Palo Alto Medical Foundation
(PAMF) where he serves as the Chief of Inpatient Medicine. Allen brings frontline clinical experience in advance care planning and an in-depth knowledge of hospital administration to the team.
Before joining Vynca, Dave was a veteran developer in the social games and apps space. He was an early employee at Playdom, which was acquired by Disney in 2012, and at Rockyou, a pioneering company in social media era. He specialized in virality, scaling, and central technologies. David received his BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California – Berkeley.
Jack holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of California - Berkeley. He is a full stack developer, specializing in backend web technologies. He was an early employee at Playdom, a gaming company which was acquired by Disney in 2010, and Optimal Synthesis, Inc.
Matt is a System Developer in the process of getting his bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Stanford University. His focus is in Human Computer Interaction and Design with specialties in Rails database design and UI/UX design.
Chad is a Systems Engineer with a background in Corporate IT at Google and the Emerging Payments Technology group at MasterCard. He brings expertise in support and operations of large scale production systems in a high security setting.
Darian Shimy, MS

Darian is a seasoned technology entrepreneur with two decades of experience. He was the
VP of Technology for eHarmony.com overseeing the technology infrastructure while scaling from 8 to over 300 servers. Darian brings expert knowledge in server architecture and data security.
